Instructions

This site shows you how to fight your traffic ticket. It is organized in a step by step approach. Start with Step 1 and work your way through the steps. The most important step right now is Step 2: Request a Trial. Do this immediately. You can come back and read the rest of the steps later. Step 2 will buy you time. It will take months to schedule a trial. Right now, what you need is time. Time to think about what you are going to do. Step 2 gives you that. It's easy and can take less than 15 minutes.

On the left hand side of the page is an Offence menu bar. It has the most common types of offences and each tab provides more detailed information about that offence. As you work your way through the steps, the information on the offence tab will become more meaningful to you. The tabs contain specific strategies to use in your defence based on the type of offence you have (allegedly) committed.

Finally, take the time to LEARN the information on this site. This site helps you fight your traffic ticket. But you have to understand what you are doing if you are going to be successful.

Too many people download internet information or books with titles like "32 Questions to ask the cop at trial". They have no idea what they are asking nor do they know what to do with the answers they get. To their surprise, they are found guilty. Frankly, they should be. They have wasted the court's time and they have not defended themselves properly.

The examples on this site are actual court cases and successful strategies. You can't simply point to the information and say "Ditto for me too!" You have to understand the argument and you have to MAKE the same argument in court. That's how you are going to win. The good news is that it's not hard. You can fight the ticket and you will win.

Good luck and good fight!
